More significantly, the Nigerian 4x100 is banned from Eugene, because she was part of it when they set their QT. So a bit of luck for the world ranked 17th nation. -
lol I'm liking the extra serving of spite WADA is giving to this unapologetic fraud.
Could not have happened to a more deserving douchebag.
Enjoy your enforced retirement in disgrace Okagbare. -
She's chatting on on twitter. She is one of the ones that annoys me most now!

Nijel Amos suspended. Metabolites of GW1516, whatever that is.Last edited by trevorp; 13-07-22, 01:11.Comment

More info on GW1516 at https://www.usada.org/spirit-of-spor...s-know-gw1516/
It seems that supplements can be contaminated with it ... -
Supplements are not made for professional athletes - they’re made for body builders, bouncers & gangsters. The makers are constantly trying to add illegal ingredients because their prime market don’t care about testing, all they want is the big muscles. Any serious athlete is daft to take them.

Two more men out of the WCs, both high profile medal contenders.
Randolph Ross, US 400m runner who ran 44.13 in June, for tampering in a whereabouts case, and Lawrence Cherono, Kenyan marathon runner and fourth placer in Tokyo, tested positive for trimetazidine, another fat burner.

US team must be counting their blessings they didn't run him in the mixed. Or maybe they knew he was under suspicion and that's why they nominated a reserve for the 400 solo?👍 1Comment

It is very sad. Grace Nwokocha is only 21. The University of North Carolina programme is tainted after this second suspension. Former Head Coach Duane Ross is Randolph Ross's father and he was an Olympian who served a drugs ban, caught up in the BALCO drugs conspiracy. Duane Ross has literally just moved to the University of Tennessee as Director of Track and Field. It will be interesting to see how his athletes perform there.
Following from Wikipedia:
Following the analysis of information received from BALCO in 2010, Duane Ross was called to testify in a case against his coach Trevor Graham. The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) suspended Ross for two years for attempted use, possession, and trafficking of performance-enhancing drugs.[6] As a term of his suspension, all his results from November 2001 onward were nullified.

Imagine Linford Christie trying to get a coaching job at Loughborough. I don't think it would happen. Certainly he's persona non grata with UKA, getting refused accreditation and not getting invited to events.👍 1Comment

To be honest, I think it probably shows how little impact T&F has in the US. ‘Major’ sports would avoid the scandal but there’s no real news outside of the Olympics for athleticsComment
