Well done Mari Smith in the 800! Huge indoor PB for her and confirms her place on the plane (train?) to Glasgow.

New PB for Adelle also, that should be enough to secure her position over Sharp I would hope

Hmm... A potential for Prescod to run sub 6.50 in the 60m flat in the final?

[Edit] And to add, a new UK U-17 indoor record for Jeremiah Azu, running a 6.65 PB and still with a chance to qualify for the final later today.

And Holly Bradshaw, clear at 4.81m in the Pole Vault!

Never heard of the Japanese Kawakami who just ran 6.58!

Lovely Kat Stefanidi out at 4.81. 3 over that height though, including Bradshaw.

I'm also interested in what the hell hanging with Mike Rodgers at the start means for his 100m!

Also, Jeremiah Azu is a serious talent, 3rd on the U20 all time list now behind Mark Lewis-Francis and Dwain Chambers, with another year left...

Don't be surprised to start seeing previously unknown Japanese athletes starting to come out of the woodwork with the Tokyo Olympics looming ever larger on the horizon. Kawakami's outdoor pb is "only" 10.30, set last year... I'd lay good bets that he significantly lower that by the end of this season....

Good run from Asha Philip, staying ahead of a fast closing Thompson, and it looks like Rachel Miller came third with another pb, 7.19! She'll be in the final too.

Nobody can say that Holly Bradshaw can only win in staged/exhibition events, or against inferior competition. She's beaten the reigning Olympic and European champions, while also taking down one of the best from USA in Nagaotte too. And 4.81m is a height that wins major medals at championships... Well done Holly!

Already happened in the Men's 800!

Joseph Reid with a PB and the standard books his Glasgow place. Jamie Webb ahead of him should surely get picked for the 3rd spot?

They have to take Webb - he hasn't finished behind another Brit all season!

WORLD RECORD!!!! And not the expected Yomif Kejelcha. Great race with Samuel Tefera, 3:31.04, taking down El Guerrouj's WR. Kejelcha half a second back.

I was a bit disappointed with our 1500m guys there. I wanted to see them much closer to the leaders in the the early laps. Seemed to be racing themselves.

I understand your point, but if people are going out in 1:52 in a 1500m and you aren't in World Record shape then you are better off sitting off slightly. The fact that all but Chris O'Hare ran indoor PBs is testament to the fact that it was probably a sensible approach. If they'd gone out on the back, you might have seen one or two running slightly faster but the majority totally tanking the last 2 laps.
                          Working...
