Because those athletes have still been the exception, not the rule.
There just isn't the conveyor belt of talent in the field events that we can say about some other disciplines. It doesn't take many barren years of success for the GB field in some of these events to weaken considerably (in a way that would never likely happen in, say, the 100m).
I've said this before but I don't think it is coincidence that the reason the women's hammer is looking relatively strong right now. I'd say it is because of Sophie Hitchon. But if Anna or Charlotte or someone else right now isn't able to replicate what Sophie did, will that be the same in, say, 10 years? I'm not sure it would be.
