I didn't hear Paula & Colin gabbing with Gabby for half an hour. Did I miss anything interesting, LOL?

Conditions are looking a bit breezy, but warm. Could get some fast times/long distances but a few efforts might be over the legal wind limit for anybody looking for Doha standards. Also could be difficult for the ole vaulters and high jumpers.

What a great men's 400m hurdles race! Dobek gets the win with a gutsy final 100m to overtake Vailliant of France, winning in 48.87 and getting maximum points for Poland. Vaillant gets 11 points in second with a season's best of 49.98. In 3rd place and scoring 10 points was Germany's Luke Campbell in a SB of 49.24, and as I predicted yesterday, GB's Chris McAlister chasing and closing down in the finishing stages, runs not only another PB of 49.28, but also achieved the Doha standard... oh, and gets 9 points for the team! A great run from Chris.

Strange of the host broadcaster not to highlight the two-time Euro silver medalist Renelle Lamote but to highlight Esther Guerrero instead.

Good run by Oskan-Clarke in 2nd behind Lamote. A first sub-2:02 run for Finland's Sara Kuivisto in 4th. Pryshchepa had nothing in the home straight.

It's a shame that the wind has swapped around from what it was yesterday... the times in the sprints will definitely be affected.

Disaster for GB in the hammer. Nick Miller, 4th in the world rankings with 78.68m, bombs out of the hammer with a "best" of only 66 meters, with his other two events being fouls. That was at least 10 points thrown away there by Nick, who finishes way down in 10th place.

Very poor run by Nick Goolab in the 5000 for 9th place ... 4 or 5 points lost there. Italy's Yemane Crippa the expected winner.

                      Awuah-Rees-Williams-Miller

Wouldnt be surprised if Switzerland win the event from the 'B' race. GBR will do well to get top 3.

Hosker-Thornhill way down like Goolab. 21s off her PB.

Our number 1 javelin thrower currently 5m down on a couple of heptathletes too. Not the fault of Bekah Walton, but it's quite embarrassing that BA seem to be allowing the slow decline of British JT. Such history in the event...

WTF are these relay line ups??

Some poor 3k runs. Disappointing from Miller

Ridiculous DQ for Kevin Lopez in the 1500. He took one step on the kerb.

The IAAF really need to rethink what happens in such cases. It's way too harsh a consequence for something that's not deliberate and doesn't result in a significant advantage (or any advantage at all if the athlete has lost their balance.)

A 0.05s penalty for each step off the track or out of your lane would be a much better solution.

Harry AA didn't look great at all! 10.57, I'd be pretty embarrased tbh... then in his interview saying he was toe-to-toe with Vicaut! If everyone is fit for trials, he could struggle to make the final... but will still get selected for a relay slot
