Agonisingly just 0.06 off the World Championship qualifying standard. But a great opener to her season nonetheless.

Not quite an opener, she ran 55.99 and 56.49 in May, and 38.75 over a 300 hurdles race. But an encouraging move in the right direction for sure.

Oliver Bromby equalled his 100m PB in Regensburg, Germany, crossing the line in 10.21 (-0.1) to finish narrowly in 2nd place after a photo finish. He ran 10.22 (+0.3) in the earlier heats.

46.18 pb for Michael Ohioze in the US. (He did run 46.10 last month but without a wind reading afaics).

Wind is not a factor in the 400m, so the 46.10 will be legal.

Of course, I keep forgetting that

Joe Ferguson, who so impressed last season in lowering his 200m PB down to 20.23 to qualify for last year's World Champs in Eugene, where he reached the semi finals, set a new season's best of 20.85 (+0.7) at the Dromia meeting in Greece today, winning the race comfortably.

Richard Kilty was also in Dromia in the B 200m final and just about won it on a photo finish in 21.06.

Have to say, was expecting a fair bit more after a super indoors. I’m guessing an injury in between and building back?

Maybe, it seems like quite a late start to outdoors.

That would make sense. 52.3 isn't great.

Daryll at FBK Games today could be interesting. Ahye, Daniels, Sturgis and Hemida all make for good strong opposition.

Modest season debut for Cindy Sember: 13.13 in Jamaica. Same time as Abigail Pawlett's recent PB at the top of the UK rankings.

Zharnel was the one I thought would go on and be in the 19.8 crew…but seems to not be pushing on year-on-year, but keeps operating at a good, top 10-15 level

He's one of those athletes I feel is naturally talented but perhaps not quite driven enough.

That’s all it can be, as he’s in a great set up, is consistently turning up…and then falling short of the big push!

SBs for both Ama Pipi and Laviai Nielsen (51.16 and 51.27). More work needed though.

Coming into form nicely. That's close to PB territory for both.

Ben Pattison ran bravely going for the win in Chorzow, but had to settle for second in 1.45.75. Danny Rowden looked poor all through the race, unfortunately, and was almost last. A shame; he was looking so promising a few seasons ago.
