Decent outing (although give or take a week it was this time last year he ran his 9.93 into a -1.2).

The doubters will remain unless or until he performs on the championship stage. At the moment he has a very poor return for his evident talent.

Yes, up to now he’s shown ability but not the mentality needed to succeed at the top levels. Let’s see how this season goes.

He had another wobble in the blocks yesterday which the starter let him get away with. I think that time will get him into a few DL meetings where he can work on handling his nerves against the top guys

Sarah Omoregie marginally improved her PB by 1cm as she comfortably made it through to the NCAA Finals, throwing 17.67m in the 2nd round of the competition.

In the women's long jump, heptathlete Isabel Wakefield also made it through with a best jump of 6.33m (+1.8), not far off the 6.38m PB she jumped a month ago. Fellow multi eventer Alix Still could only manage a best of 5.84m (+3.0) and doesn't advance further.

          • Another athlete with immense potential is appearing in the 800M A race tomorrow. Erin Wallace who was coached by Andy Young then went to Trevor Painter but according to PO10 is currently coachless makes only her 2nd outdoor appearance in the last two seasons. No idea what sort of shape she is in but hopefully she can have a full outdoor campaign and push on from her 2021 PBs of 2:02:93 for 800M and 4:07:46 for 1500M. Her one single outdoor performance of last year was in January where she ran 1:27:86 over 600M at altitude. Using Lynsey Sharp as a guide that time equates to under 2 minutes for 800M.

So it's a slightly joke distance, but that's still a decent outing.

            • Excited to see what are ladies can produce in the 5000M at Andujar in Spain tonight. Eloise Walker, Alexandra Millard and on her debut at this distance Hannah Nuttall are running. Their respective 3000M times that have all been recently set indicate big pbs for all three. Using some software I found that took one time and predicted all your other times Eloise could run 15:14, Alexandra could run 15:26 and Hannah could run 15:04 which would be one hell of a debut.

                  Update from Ian Hodge:

Nuttall finished 2nd in her 5000m debut in 15:25.28, while Eloise Walker (3rd, 15:26.00 SB - 2nd fastest she's ever done) and Alexandra Millard (9th, 15:43.41 PB - 20th on UK U23 all time list) both achieved the Euro U23 Q standard.

                    • Khalisa Mhalinga very close to her PB running 2:02:07 today in 4th place. Lynsey Sharp was involved in a fall and was a DNF.

                      • Alex Botterill wins the 800M "A" race in 1:47:59. Seems the Steve Cram has some involvement with Alex now according to the commentary team. Strange race with the brazilian a 1:45 man looking home and clear and then losing his legs completely.

                        • Adam Fogg wins the Emsley Carr MIle in 3:55 and bits knocking a second off his previous PB. Matt Stonier went on to have a breakout last year after winning this event at the night of the 10000M PBS. Could this be the platform for Adam to go on and do the same.
