We thought we'd let you have some glory.

Very impressive, although African age records are always a little suspect.

The young performance of the year so far was undoubtedly the third place by the Ethiopian Haylom at Rabat in 3.57.66. She is 17 year and 4 months old and is the current World U20 champion from last year. Sur[prised the expert stat people did not mention her.Although she is 6th place best all time for u20 athletes surely its the best ever by an under 18 years athlete

Audrey Werro, 2022 World U20 800m silver medallist and 2021 European U20 800m champion from Switzerland, opened her outdoor campaign with a convincing victory at the Pentecost Sport Meeting Rehlingen, Germany yesterday.
In field that also contained Brits Isabelle Boffey, and Ellie Baker, Kenyan Naomi Korir, Slovakia's Gabriela Gajanova and Germany's Christina Hering, the 19 year old showed that her strong winter form was still very much present. She won it by nearly a full second from Korir (2:00.35), crossing the line in 1:59.67, her second fastest ever time and the third occasion where Werro had broken the 2 minute barrier.

With that performance, she leapfrogs to the top of the European U20 800m rankings, ahead of Abigail Ives, and lies third in Europe overall so far. It's looking like my prediction that this year's 800m battle in the European U20 Championships will be a straight fight between Werro and Ives, is becoming a reality.

Boffey finished 5th in 2:01.68, while Baker was 7th in 2:02.41.

Wilson’s only problem is juggling flat and hurdles.

Best pace judgement I've seen from Adeleke, there's more to come. The commentator obviously doesn't think she's Irish enough, he called her Adekelly throughout.

A bit of old news this from a week ago, but it's regards to the European U20s... German-born Enzo Diessl who transferred to neighbouring Austria back in 2020 and finished fifth at last year's World U20s, has looked like he's taken his 110m hurdling to another level this year.
He'd already run one of the fastest U20 60m hurdles times ever by a European in January (7.62 - 8th Euro U20 all time list), and it looks like he's translated that form to the outdoors too.

On the 20th May, Diessl in his first race outdoors this season, shattered the Austrian U20 110m hurdles record as he ran 13.11 (+0.9). He improved on the previous best set at the World U20s by over 4/10ths of a second, and shot him up to 3rd on the European U20 all time list, with only WU20 record holder Sasha Zohya and Williem Belocian above him.

He subsequently backed up this outstanding performance yesterday in Germany with times of 13.22 and 13.35, a distance faster than any other European U20 hurdler has managed so far this season.

I think Wilson is ready to run sub 49, Adeleke not there (yet).

When they last raced Adeleke ran it like a 200m runner and Wilson won the race in the 200-300 section. Let's see what happens in 2 weeks. Adeleke needs another winter of 400 training, but will still be a contender in Budapest.

49.54 pb for Rhasidat Adeleke in the NCAAs, just behind Britton Wilson with 49.51.

The 3 best entrants in the 100m not turning up for the final was a disgrace.I hope that DL promoters dont allow athletes inthe 100m/200m to get away with unjustifiably avoiding their fellow competitors. I do not believe the cramping stuff at all. All about money or ego or both.

Indeed it was. Something still very fishy about her, and would rather not see her and Coleman competing.

    I won’t bite…..

Crouser is amazing. 3 best comps in history, 6 of the top 10, 25 of the top 50. 7 comps over 23m (Barnes with 2 is the only other man to have done it more than once). Wherever he leaves the WR, it will stand for a very long time (although Kovacs was reported to have gone to around 24m with a warm up).
