    • Outstanding 10.89 for 18 yo Shawnti Jackson, Bershawn's daughter, in the US. Scalps include Murielle Ahoure.

      • Hassan running the 1500m tomorrow…incredible range, having won the London Marathon not too long ago!

        • 44.21 for Wayde van Niekirk in Jamaica. He is very definitely back on track.

          • 10.82 (0.0) for Ta Lou in Poland - Swoboda second in 11.07 after a PB of 11.03 in her heat.

Belarusian turned Pole Tsimanouskaya was third in 11.20, her fastest since 2018. With Ewa, Pia (fitness?) and Stefanowicz (PB of 11.25 today) Poland have a handy little 4x1 - Particularly as you can rely on them to be slick with the baton.

            • Teenage sensation Mattia Furlani isn't wasting any time over at the FBK Games in Henglo. A week after performing the longest jump by an U20 in any conditions of a just over the legal wind limit 8.44m (+2.2) in Savona, in the opening round of the long jump contest, he goes out to 8.24m (-0.7). Not only is that a big PB for the 18 year old, its also moves up to 9th on the World U20 all time list too.

Yes, great jumping. Interesting that he's competing here against Juvaughn Harrison, who is also both a high and long jumper and has a LJ PB of 8.47. Furlani dominating today though.

Incidentally Furlani's older sister Erika is going in the HJ here (in which our own Emily Borthwick has failed to clear any height). She was 2nd in the world u18 champs back in 2013 but has stalled since, with a pb of 1.94. Hopefully Mattia can progress at one or other of his jumping events because he's a great talent. Dad was a HJer with a pb of 2.27 in his day and coaches both of them.

            • Femke Bol utterly dominant in the 400 at Hengelo. 50.11, with the next athlete, Wadeline Jonathas, 51.74.

              • More awesomeness from Nelly Chim Chim Cher-ee. (Sorry. Old Julie Andrews fan here. But seriously, awesome running from the kid.)

                • Hang on! Do I understand that Sarah McD paced the race and then kept running for what must be her fastest time in umpteen years!?!

(I couldn't watch it so I'm just going off the results page here.)

A bit of competition for the Greek OG and WC champion.

                          • Hemida Bassant has announced herself on the world stage now. After that surprise second place in the 100, she won the 200 in 22.41 ahead of hometown girl Lieke Klaver's 22.51 pb.

In Nairobi he somehow conjured up a 7m PB of 87.35 to beat Peters and go 3rd in the world rankings.

                              Freak throw or admin error?
Backing it up with, er, 78m in Hengelo.

Another good performance from Weber taking the win with 87m.

But very sad to see Vetter down in 8th with just 72m. Hopefully much much better to come from him.
