Didn't think to check for that. Yes, it is!

After the very understandable tears of frustration shed during her post-event interview at the European Championships where she finished well out of contention, it looks like Morgan Lake has been making the changes to her life and training needed to start jumping at the quality her ability undoubtedly always showed.
So, I make that the *4th* outright British indoor record in various events that's been set in the last couple of weeks. DAS 60m, Atkin 3000m, The Hodge 600m and now Lake's high jump national record. Impressive going!

Lavial Nielsen won the 400m at the IFAM Meeting in Gent, crossing the line in 52.44, a new season's best. It's also her 2nd quickest 400m indoors, with her PB stretching back to 2017. Could be a battle to see who makes the team for the women 4x400m at the European Indoors in March (depending on which athletes have got that championships in their schedules, of course).

Jona Efoloko runs 6.63 PB for 60m at Lee Valley, according to Ian Hodge's Twitter.
Another result mentioned there was Cassie Ann Pemberton, who represent GB at the 2018 European U18s in 2018, but has been beset by injuries since 2019 and missed the entire 2022 season, made a successful return to action with a 7.37 clocking in winning at Loughborough, improving upon here 2021 7.44 personal best. Diani Walker ran 7.38 to win the Southern title.
World U20 200m finalist Sophie Walton, still just 18, goes to 8th on the world U20 lists for 2023 after winning the 200m in Glasgow in 23.56. She defeated Hannah Brier (23.67, 0.03 outside indoor PB) and in so doing, set her 2nd indoor 200m PB of the season.

51.89 iPB for Vicki Ohuruogu... But she lost by half the track as Rhasidat Adeleke sped to a 50.45 clocking. What a talent the Irishwoman is, and what a 4x4 GBR look to have this year.

That moves Adeleke up to =16th on the European all time list, while V. Ohuruogu moves into 13th on the UK all time list indoors. As you say, the GB 4x400m squad is looking very promising this year. Nicole Yeargin in record-breaking form, Amber Anning back to her best, Laviai Nielson in good shape, as is Ama Pipi and Jessie Knight. And we haven't even seen Jodie Williams this winter yet.

Katie Snowden & Hannah Nuttall both with PBs in 3rd & 4th, just sneaking inside the Euros 8:48 standard.

I didn't have Morgan Lake breaking the British Record on my bingo card for this weekend.
Fingers crossed she really builds on this. Consistency is key; I have always felt in the past she is as likely to jump 1.85 as 1.95. More consistency and that magical 2m+ jump will hopefully follow on.

I see that Boffey did not manage to improve her PB in Boston (2:01.42 in third). But it is always great experience to be in a race with Ajee Wilson and a strong field.
Ellie was fourth, but Lynsey was last to finish. It is going to be very interesting to see how things progress for all of them from here.

The RIG Games (Reykjavik International Games) is a Challenger level World Indoor Tour meeting, and there will be a sprinkling of British athletes performing. No real headliners (apart from American Chase Ealey in the mixed shot put) in the various line ups, but it'll be good to see the likes of Lewis Byng, Serena Vincent (shot), Leonie Ashmeade (60m), all U23s, in action.
