        • On that evidence Prescod's move to Neita's coach is working. He's 27 this month, time to deliver Reece.

She is talented enough to be a finalist in the Euro indoors, but the start has to be outstanding at that level.
Maybe she has been working hard in that area.. Kambundji is my current fave and is starting to improve after a slow ish start

She made the Olympic final last year and was 9th in the Worlds 100m, she's definitely medalist material at Euros...

if she runs to her best, kambundji looks like the only threat, since dina is not competing as far as i know, however she didnt manage to run her best in the finals she was in last year and should have done better than 2 bronzes

          • That 6.49 for Prescod could be very telling. Due to his size and style over 100m - this could definitely be a tell for a repeat of his 9.93 at the very least. Very good to see.

I know 60m isn’t always a good translation to 100m - but in this case it reads different I think.

Hopefully a sign he’s been knuckling down and really committing to his training this year.

If Prescod is fully switched on and translates this into what he should run outdoors, Linford's British Record could go. That is quite a few ifs though...

          • All speculation of course, but maybe being trusted in the WC relay team encouraged him to knuckle down and realise that he can win a few medals if he ever fully delivers on his talent...

                • Ian Hodge reports that Sarah Inglis ran 14:59.65 at the Boston University indoor track last night... She becomes just the 2nd British woman ever to go sub-15 minutes indoors, behind Laura Muir. Impressive stuff!

                  • Sarah Inglis has had a really interesting past few years. It looked like she was going to be a marathoner with a decent 2.29.37 clocking, but her performances on the track after that have blossomed. She really attacked the Commonwealth Games last year and I remember thinking there was much more to come there if she had another year at the shorter distances.

There are spaces on the team in the 5k and 10k with McColgan moving up to the marathon.

                    • Some impressive performances from the English Athletics U20/U17/U15 Indoor Championships this morning, with Joy Eze and Renee Regis being the fastest qualifiers in the U20 women's 60m heats. Eze ran 7.47 and Regis' 7.50 well ahead of the next fastest, Emmanuel Quaye, Mehitabelle Angelo and Ella-Grace Edwards (a PB) with 7.63.

In the men's U20 60m, Sean Anyaogu, who turned 19 in January, set a new PB of 6.83 to lead all qualifiers, though the current world no.2 U20, Medwin Odamtten, pretty much sauntered to 6.97 and an easy heat win. Expect much quicker from him in the semi-finals. Also impressing was sprint hurdler Noah Hanson who ended up 3rd quickest overall in a 6.91 PB, which bodes well for his main event that starts tomorrow afternoon.

                      • And u17 Lily Bradley ran a 7.54 Pb in the semis.

Make that 7.39, equalling Joy Eze's run in the previous semi-final... That puts Renee Regis up to joint 15th on the UK's U20 all time list.

                        • And Joy Eze runs 7.30 to win the final. A big PB. 6th on the UK all time list.

Was rounded up to 7.31 eventually, but still 6th UK all time, now shared with Hannah Brier. Also means Eze is currently 3rd in the world for U20's indoors this year.

Mehitabelle Angelo rounded out the podium, crossing the line in 7.46, lowering her PB in consecutive rounds.
