He now needs to get into some fast races and learn on the circuit - it will come. He has speed to burn and could make a claim for the 4x400m pool - but more speed is even better at world level.

Knowing Jamie, he’ll be gutted and frustrated, but not sure he could do much more, especially as he only got drafted in the week before!
    exactly Jimbo.

Yes, but he wasn't on the 4x1. Swings and roundabouts...

Hughes is capable of being on both (as is Richards, but they need him less)…

I must admit, I questioned all Eilish's doubling up this year, but it's paid off here with gold and silver.

Great throwing at the top end of this competition. Which as you say makes our men all the more embarrassing.

To my non technical eyes - Ugen just hasn’t had the speed on the runway as I’ve seen from her in the past. It’s translating into the hitch kick which isn’t giving her the same reach when she jumped 7m+

Shes been vocal about not being sponsored and on funding, and I do sympathise. But at the worlds and here she has a couple of legal jumps in total. Got to get legal jumps to be in it to win it…

Euros is not going to be easy for medals but if Jaz can repeat this form then she will be in with a shout

Yes…she needs to quit the constant complaining - lots of people are in the same boat and don’t have lottery funding to fall back on. The way to get noticed is to win medals…and then the sponsors will want her!

TBF, she started complaining after she won bronze at World Indoors and still couldn't find a sponsor. But I agree that she's rather inconsistent.

Never expected to see the Aussies over the last 18 months to indicate that they are building a block of athletes superior to Gb by some margin in a range of events, but then the Gb athletics scene is utterly depressing; the world Juniors have not given much comfort in that department.
I cannot see the GB athletes here over the range of events have been inspired by the great enthusiastic crowd support. Not terribly interested in super soft bronze medals.

Did GB just win 7 medals at the Worlds? Sorry, must have missed that...

Canada will surely have the right to appeal RunUnlimited - Williams was fully in the inside lane.

I thought it was rather risky putting our weakest runner on anchor, but Ama Pipi gave her a big lead and then Jessie really fought for it on the line.

She’s usually there, and at her best is better on a relay than most.

                  The Chris Mac dip!

Incredibly tight w4x4 knotweed to close. Like Knight, but she never looks like she has quite enough flat speed.

Hopefully, with the emergence of Yemi Mary John, the next few years will have a bit more depth for GB's 4x400m team. Jessie Knight did well enough, but perhaps having a 49/50 second runner on last leg would be more preferable
