Marc Scott recovered pretty well at the end to get 4th.

Great fight for the actual medals.

Good dust up in the 5K. Infinitely more enjoyable than paced DL time trials.

4th in a SB on paper is great, but he was up and down, making his own issues!

A SB from Scott, and I make that his 2nd fastest ever 5k outdoors. Perhaps the 13:05 is the outlier?

Lol, I heard that and was confused for a second who he was thinking about!

Kiplimo has had a great CWG ! Fine win in a great contest 👏

Scott with a SB so can't really complain.

Definitely better than he ran in Eugene.

Scott has said that his biggest target this summer is the European 10000 so presumably viewed the 5000 here as preparation.

No, Craig Mottram's nickname was Buster. I think every bloke called Mottram must get tagged with it!

Re Mary Moraa and the DSD issue ... Usually (always??) DSD athletes have quite deep voices. She sounds very feminine though.

13.20 is a bit ordinary these days so when you see him run some great times in winter in usa it will be taken for what it represents. Not much.

                • Well, if my maths are right, we've already secured a PV medal, as we've only got 5 athletes left in it and 3 of them are English! Early days though; Marschall hasn't even entered yet.

I’m thinking he might be going for a Hooker - one and done (injured?), as he’s only cleared 5.75m this year and only managed 5.50m in Eugene

I think he's relying on minimal vaults for sure. He's already effectively wrapped up a medal unless Owen Heard somehow goes past 5.40 with a sore elbow.

                • Brilliant well judged run by McMaster to retain his title.

                  • Great run from Chalmers! And a medal for Guernsey! First ever track medal for them at a CWG

I bow to your knowledge. But I’d never heard that and I’m not giving Hutchings the benefit of the doubt!

                      • Tim Hutchings completely misses wonderful medal for Guernsey. Time to retire mate.
