Womens 800m semis were originally supposed to be tonight and have left a bit of a gap in the schedule.

    Nwachukwu has been incredible.

She's still almost a second clear of Nielsen on SBs and 1.5 seconds ahead of everyone else. Whilst she's disappointed at the champs, it's not like there's someone else she's keeping out of the team. Also, she contributed to the 4x4 bronze in Eugene, so not a complete write off.

Agree with you but I'm enjoying the dedicated athletics feed, in particular the parathletics women's discus competition.

They've fairly clearly tried to put as many finals as possible on Sat/Sun, for obvious TV reasons. And the various withdrawals haven't help in terms of a consistent programme - lots of heats that suddenly became effectively SFs at short notice.

Cancelled para races, two round track races and straight-to-finals field events, I'm afraid. Really has been a mess on the numbers front, they have let the faithful fans down, they bought tickets on the basis of a much fuller programme.

Yeah, she started like a rocket with a great upset win over Justyne Swiety indoors, but not much since.

I appreciate the difficulties of organizing a full athletics programme into six days but tonights schedule does look very low powered for the first evening when it's not clashing with the swimming.

Never understood Knights poor showing when it counts, but she will be selected till the selectors wake up

Even if she isn't, her reaction during the announcements looked like someone who was rather overwhelmed with everything right now, and entirely understandably so.
Working...
