Just missing out on a major certainly motivated Daryle Neita!

That run from Neita is also now officially the fastest ever run on British soil by a British sprinter. DAS had twice run 10.91 in the UK.

I cant stop watching it on iplayer, that was the most fluent peice of British female sprinting I have seen since Kathy Cook in her pomp... Only knows what Neita could do in a 200 in this form.... I think the penny dropped with that 'fastest ever' relay leg ...

Neita could win the thing, she looked much better than ETH

I think people have been sleeping on how good Neita is because of DAS

Agreed. I don’t think we’ll see Dasher go much faster, but I think Neita can definitively lower her PBs.

Sad for Kiprotich, but remarkable from Eilish McColgan, beautiful!

            Great win by Eilish!

Makes me think of parent-child combos that have won the same title.

Well done McColgan. Jogging’s worth watching when it’s like that. Properly competitive and she had to work really hard for it. Chapeau.

But can they please stop mentioning her bloody mother.

                    She is her coach.

Yes but it was all the way through the race in the context of her having previously won it. Just grated on me. But doesn’t detract from a really gutsy performance and a special family moment.

Lol at them mentioning how Eilish has to deal with being Liz’s daughter…by mentioning her mum all the time! She’ll be the only coach interviewed, but not many have a double-gold medal winning mother-coach

And should mention Jess Judd in 5th and Samantha Harrison 6th with a PB.

as noted in her post race interview ... McColgan has competed in the 1500, 3000 SC, 5000 and 10 000, finally getting a gold... a very emotional experience all round...
