Yo, that is a great run from Adam! It's been on the cards after her previous PB run at the UK U20/U23 Championships in July. Though it was "only" 23.40, it was also her first race outdoors this season due to injury and to race a PB in those circumstances suggested that with a few more races under her belt, she'd be able to go a fair bit faster, and this result appears to prove the case. It would have been easily fast enough to go under the European Championship standard for 200m, but of course it's come too late for Adam to be considered. But it is good to see her development moving in the right direction following her junior days which were somewhat over shadowed by Amy Hunt's emergence and performances.
As for Seamus, I think he's showing the England selectors what they were missing out on by not having him on the team at the CWG.

SD was named for the England team…not sure how the admin cock up happened…he seems to be the only athlete who didn’t get the link to fill in his details…I’m guessing ENG team management will say it was him not completing it. You’d have thought they’d check before the deadline, but seemingly not.

Derbyshire is maddeningly inconsistent, mind. Clearly talented, but DNFs a lot and also (somehow) false started at the U23s...

I have mentioned Thomas Keen on here before. Well he has set two new PBS in the last week. On the 6th August hes set a new PB in the 1500M of 3:38:92 then 4 days later he ran 3:37:70 at the BMC meet in Watford. A near 4 second improvement on his PB thus far this year. Still an U23 next year.

Finishing lower down at the BMC in 5th place in a new PB of 3:41:80 was William Battershill. I mention this because that maps across to his 3000M S/C quite nicely and indicates if he could get in a fast run race he could go well under 8:30, a lowish 8:21/22 is not out of the question.

Serena Vincent has set a 16.67 PB in the shot. She’s still only 20 and that puts her marginally ahead of Oladipo at the same age.
I’ve not seen much of her but she’s very athletic - ex runner. I’ve only ever seen her glide - anyone know if she’s gone rotational?

Eugene Amo-Dadzie has smashed his PB to pieces with a legal 10.05 (1.8) in perfect conditions at Newham. Beat Safo-Antwi (10.12) who ran a PB by 0.02s. Nicholas Walsh ran 10.20 for third in the same race after running 10.22 (2.4) at England Champs a couple of weeks ago.
Amo-Dadzie is 30 but didn't take up athletics until 2019. He ran 10.55 that season, then obviously covid struck but it didn't stop him improving to 10.20 in 2021. He ran 6.60 indoors but only opened his outdoor season on July 17th, so to be running 10.05 already is astonishing. He'll be in the shake up for a British vest in 2023, what a story that could be... The kind the general public could really get behind. One to keep an eye on.Last edited by Christy93; 14-08-22, 16:23.

Per Ian Hodge, Alicia Barrett has finally improved her pb over 100h (which dated back to 2017) to 13.02. Previous SB was 13.32 although she has a sub 13 run with a 2.5 wind a couple of weeks ago.
I suspect, after what we know now, moving from Minichiello last year has helped her mentally....
