They'll be available via https://results.birmingham2022.com/#...ATH/2022-08-02 but yes, don't expect startlists until Monday evening at the earliest. There are entry lists available via https://results.birmingham2022.com/#/general-entries
It has to be said the format of the schedule, results etc for the Comm Games is always awful ! It probably doesn't help that it's a multi-sport event.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 31-07-22, 12:59.👍 1Comment

Thank you everyone. Its a bit of a fight with the website, but it is slowly yielding some info...
...And indeed the HEP could turn out very exciting. A nice bit of accidental form-tuning means that someone is in with a chance of a rare repeat gold, someone with a chance of a first ever major gold, and someone with a slight chance of an ends-of-the-earth style surprise. Of course it is a bit more parochial than the worlds. But the winner of this usually ends up being a big global player later on. And I don't see why this one has to be any different.Comment

Chances for an English 1-2-3? I'd say they are pretty darned high. In 2022, the top 3 heptathlon scores are all from English athletes (1. Mills - 6250, 2. Jade O'Dowda - 6224 and 3. KJT - 6222), and the nearest challenger is over 200 points behind. Now, the *order* of the likely clean sweep is another matter, altogether. -
Kate O'Connor looks like the only one who can challenge them, IF she's fit. She DNF her last three heps. -
Occasional Hope Good call on Kate O'Conner (who I must admit I'd forgotten about after her injury and coaching issues the last couple of years)
If the O'Conner that scored 6297 points at last year's Multistars meeting in Lana turns up in Birmingham, then it could make things interesting. But not having finished your last 3 heptathlons since then (including Gotzis this year) is not looking great. She *has* thrown the javelin over 50m this year a couple of times during individual contests at least.

I am no online expert (in fact I am rubbish !) but haven't had any real problem handling the schedule/results site. You sometimes have to fiddle about a bit with filters and such but it works pretty well once you get used to it.
Athletics entries : actually surprised me to see the numbers in the 100m - even if a lot of them are just ... well, "making up" those numbers. Only eight in the heptathlon though...
And I see the women's discus field is just 11 strong : and guess what ? Jade Lally has both the best PB and SB of them all ... No pressure thenComment
