Now must be up to 90% or so which is utterly fantastic. Way more than for any Athletics meet anywhere since 2012.

Glasgow crowds in morning sessions were rammed, as were most of those for London 2017.

Brits love watching major champs Athletics.

Omanyala is jacked. The half second improvement at 25 is notable!

The difference in speed in the circle between McKinna and Thomas-Dodd is night and day. In a way, it's encouraging that despite Sophie's rudimentary technique, she's not far off a respectable distance.

Azu sounding like he's had injury and off track issues to deal with.

Good run from World Indoor finalist Adam Thomas, nearly dead heating with 10 second flat runner Conroy Jones in his heat and making it through to the semi-finals, running 10.30 (+1.0m/s)

The Women's 800m is insanely stacked for a Commonwealth Games. First heat has the 2019 World Champion, 2022 Bronze and a 1:58 runner this year, second heat has 2 1:56 runners and the final heat has 2nd and 4th from the Olympics last year!

I don't know what's happened to Jenny Selman since the indoor season, but she is not the same athlete we saw in January and February. Run well out of it in the opening heat (really a semi final) of the women's 800m, won by Mary Moraa in 1:59.22.

Fast semis in the W 800. They need to be though because, like MysteryBrick said, it's a loaded event.

Alex Bell sub-2 but only 3rd. In the fastest little q spot at the moment though.

Natoya Goule looking good, running 1:58 and bits to win the 2nd heat/semi-final of the 800m, pulling away from Laura Muir who also ran under 1:59. And Alexander Bell, fighting all the way to the line even after the top to gapped her, managed a 1:59.76 SB to put her as the fastest of the non-auto qualifiers so far.

                      Reekie out!

Goule looked the pick for me, but I don't think Keely was remotely extended. Nice jog for the Hodge.

Not sure about shite. Bisset only a tenth slower on SB than her, and she got clipped. Just unfortunate that the standard is so high and the pace on Heat 3 was slow. I think she may make the final on appeal.

Those 800 semis are tougher than World/Olympic heats.

Shite is an Okoye-esque no throw in qualifying, or running a sprint heat 0.5 off your SB, not losing narrowly to an equally classy runner.

That said, this seems to be a pattern with Reekie, so her tactics are definitely dodgy.
