Happy to see Charlie Dobson included in the 200m and 4x400 relay. Shame that there is no Max Burgin. Jake Wightman goes in the 800m and not the 1500m. I was hoping for a Inge rematch! Good to see Jodie back in the 200m.

Interesting decision by JW, I thought she would have had a good chance of being European champion in the 400, Kaczmarek will be tough to beat but her chances of success would have been higher than against Dina and Kambundji. But good to see her mixing it up

Gutted for Max Burgin. Hopefully a long career ahead of him but he’s had more than has share of bad luck this year.

mens javelin the only event to not have GB representation?

The tight schedule this year means that if you are injured for one, you are likely to be injured for all. But lets just be thankful his injury isn't serious and he will likely be running again soon.

      No decathletes either.

Looks at first glance a very strong team. Nice to see sensible decisions being made by those who've had long seasons, as well as some chances for promising younger athletes. Given the nature of the congested season (and the likelihood of some athletes dropping out post CGs) tough to pick Brit top 8s right now, but there look like a lot of possibilities!

Baffled by Ojora not wishing to be considered for selection. I know he's been unlucky with selection, but at this stage of his career this Champs is just what he needs. Our female high jumpers can't produce another woeful performance surely. Good to see Payne going, she would have been more competitive at the CG. I can see a lot of our sprinter's dominating, after the Eugene furnace, this will be a less pressurised medal bonanza.

Same may apply to those of the hammer girls who are at US unis.

Walton and Payne deserve a chance, they were both unfortunate to miss out on commonwealth selection

A bit late to comment on this, but just adding that for both Ojora and Zeller, they've been essentially running world class 60m hurdles since December last year, indoors, and then 110m hurdles since April outdoors. I'm not surprised that both decided to give the European champs a miss, even if Ojora didn't go to Eugene like Zeller did.

Individual medals for Daryll Neita I hope! DAS-Neita-Kambundji, can’t see many others touching those over 100m or 200m

GB could pick up a lot of medals over the sprints and middle distance events.

Expect to see some changes to this team before it gets underway, might be a champs too far for some

For the Prediction Contest, given that it's a European Championships we'll probably be predicting British Top 5 or Top 6 finishes. Or, maybe, if I decide it's warranted, just predict the British medalists!

A good squad with a mix of medal hopefuls and giving young talent a chance. A few interesting choices eg Jodie going for the 200m and I’m pleased Jake is going for the 800m instead.

Completely forgot this was due in amongst everything else. Interesting that Charlie Dobson and Jodie Williams have opted for the 200m.

Seems sensible for CD as I think all the 400s he's ever run have been one-offs.

She is now an ex track runner who thinks there are easy pickings in Munich.may be a surprise cos if she repeats the lead run all the way others will be happy.
Its going to be of great interest how she performs on the roads in the next couple of years .

I don't necessarily agree with the decision but if the World Champs had been Euros only Eilish would have come away with a Silver and a Bronze, based on finishing position. If she knows that, clearly tempting to try it.

She's still down for the double in Brum as well. That seems crazy, especially as you have to believe her chances are worse in the CGs than Munich.

I suppose doing lots of intense races at shorter distances is on way of preparing for your marathon debut!

                        I stand very much corrected.

She's on for the repeat - with no Hassan in Munich, only Grovdal finished ahead of her Eugene!

RunUnlimited - it was clearly a great decision! I assumed she would struggle much more and still be tired. Here's hoping she nails 2 European medals too.
