  • Some excellent fields in the Nurmi games tomorrow. Burgin, Rowden and West catch the eye,, but the mad rush of Brits is certainly evident. Edoburun and Azamati down for the 100m noted.
btw, the weather in Manchester this coming weekend is how it should be for the Trials, but not so predicted.

Oh please. Do you really think he made it up? Faked the results list?

  • Laura Muir is competing in a mixed 800m at the BMC tonight. Pace set at 56 sec. A warm up for Oslo, or is she trying to mimic the heats of a championship?

Maybe its an attempt at the world record. I suppose that wouldn't be ratified in a mixed race - although I've never understood why not.

Because it's like having pacemakers all the way, I think.

But the magic pace light thing they use now runs all the way, right?

  • Impressive 11.09 (-0.8) for Daryll in her 100 heat in Finland, 0.60s clear of the 2nd placer. Imani Lansiquot won H2 in 11.44.

sometimes it takes days for power of 10 to be updated and some meets are added about half an hour later

Xie Zhenye was in the race and posted about it on social media - He won in 20.13, Gemili 20.15 in second and Akeem Bloomfield third in 20.23.

Bloomfield and Xie are 19.8 men so no reason to doubt anything imo.

In the final, Neita follows up with a dominant win in a fractionally slower 11.10 (-0.6m/s), while Lansiquot went faster than her heat run, coming 2nd with 11.36

                • 1.43.5 to win in Finland for Max Burgin - Only one to go with the pacemaker (49s!) and stayed so strong. What a star!

Dan Rowden a drop-out early, so not good for everyone.

                • Holy Moly Max Burgin.

                    • What a fantastic run by Max Burgin. UK no 4 all time, and a world lead.

Still only 3rd on the Yorkshire all-time list!

                    • Andrew Pozzi, a man with a lot of work to do.

Indeed. His 13.26 earlier this year shows that he is in decent form... but his inconsistency over the hurdles in more recent races is a continuing problem.

Happy for David King though, back to back season's bests today, with a wind legal 13.46, and a European Championship qualifying time to boot.
