Burgin looked stronger in the last 50, Van Diepen was closing on him with 200 to go but by the time he crossed the finish line he’d put another meter on him. I seriously hope his body holds up after that run, because he’s been a one and done man for the last few years. You’ve got to say the mens 800 hasn’t been particularly good this year, Korir in no form and Brazier only having raced once

Dobek is the man I rate highly. A fine performance by Burgin but the test is 3 races with no Pacers and notoriously brutal in barging, elbowing etc.. Max has the speed for sure,,; I anticipate other excellent efforts later in the year.
