Standout performance and performer from the NCAA indoors was Grant Holloway. He set a US record of 7.35 in the 60H, a time that has only been beaten by Colin Jackson and Dayron Robles. Removed Greg Foster's 7.36 from 1987 (with a very dubious start!) from the record books. It had been equalled by Allan Johnson and Terrence Trammell.

Holloway also won the 60 flat in 6.50. Not bad for a guy who has run some very quick 4x400 legs.

He couldn't pull of a treble as he didn't win the LJ. Amongst those who beat him was our own Jacob Fincham-Dukes who was a very decent 2nd with 7.94. There can't have been many occasions when the highest placed Brit at an NCAA champs has been a long jumper!
