  • Good first day from Lewis Church in Grosetto, currently on 4002 and projecting towards 7700. PBs in the long jump and 400, close to PBs everywhere else. Skotheim leads on 4370 and he’s only 19

    • Talking of combined events, the Somerset Schools champs at Yeovil allows guests and sometimes get some pretty good ones:

In the Under 20 women's, Abigail Pawlett has scored an impressive 3526 on her first day (14.03 100H, 1.73 HJ, 12.94 SP, 24.45 200)

In the Under 20 men's, 17 year old Sammy Ball I think is making his under 20 decathlon debut and has 3913 from his first day (11.16 100, 6.72 LJ, 14.33 SP, 1.97 HJ, 50.00 400).

So several near-PB performances in a couple of the first day events for Pawlett ( in the shot put perhaps she would feel that she could have got closer to the 13.39m mark set in Loughborough last Saturday though), and today will be interesting to see how well she does.

        • Scottish record of 11.39 over 100m and CWG standard for Alisha Rees!

Think it’s a matter of time before she goes sub 23 for 200m

Been following her progress ever since seeing her competing for GB at the 2017 European 20's (where Rees ended up finishing just outside the medals in the 200m final, behind former Brit and now Italian gold medallist, Maya Bruney), and it's great to see that time from her!

Apparently she followed that up with an 11.34w (+2.7m/s) in the 2nd race, so altogether a great day for Rees.

Additionally, Rees' time improves upon one of the longest standing of Scottish track records in the books - Helen Hogath (nee Golden) set the previous 100m record of 11.40 all the way back in 1974!

Nice! Good to see someone else getting into the 9:30's and giving us a little depth behind Lizzie Bird & Aimee Pratt.

Hmmm ... That's not what the final results of Payton Jordan say - https://rt.trackscoreboard.com/meets...vents/64/Final

Based on that, 31:58 looks like her split at 24 laps!

Did she show up? Can't see any results for her.

Tried to see on the BUCS website but couldn't find any relevant page for the events during the weekend. Their twitter page was a little better, but still nothing mentioning any appearance of Niamh Emerson.

She was a reserve and didn't compete.
