I think we all did. I was persuaded by all the voices saying she wouldn't have entered if she wasn't in great shape.
-
Agree Grassmarket, but sadly don't see Pipi making the 400m final or Neita medalling in the 60m
-
Yup, good run.
Jamaine Coleman, OTOH, was woeful - beaten by 13s by the man from Kyrgyzstan.
Amazed at how Berihu Aregawi struggled! Adel Mechaal was blowing a bit too but made it through.
-
Phew ... Alvaro de Arriba just keeping my medal prediction alive!

Was just about to post the same thought. Ami Pipi & Daryl Neita were good, but not really much since.

Elliot Giles ... That's a bummer!
Just a reminder for Part 1 of the Prediction Contest ... You don't lose points if an athlete is a DNS. However, it's too late to make another pick for Part 2 if you had him winning.Last edited by LuckySpikes; 18-03-22, 14:03.

FFS. I thought he would make the final and then mess up, not fail to even start...
-
Yeah, very brutal. Learmonth 3rd best on paper in his heat and came 3rd, Hoppel not that impressive.

800m going to be brutal, only 2 places per race.
Elliot Giles DNS!Last edited by Grassmarket; 18-03-22, 13:58.

Knew I shouldn't have picked KJT as Champion (though I still went ahead and did it!) At least I hedged my bets and didn't put her down as a European medalist.

No, too bad. 3rd heat were wise enough to keep the pace up.
-
Knight DQed for running off track. There are precedents for timed re-runs, team should appeal for that.
