Cheyenne Evans-Gray also gets a ticket to Belgrade. PBs 7.31 for near-veteran Kimbely Baptiste and 7.41 for 17 yo Success Eduan.

Azu left it all in the semi apparently. 6.56 pb for Adam Thomas to beat Andy Robertson and get selection. Who gets the second spot?

When you think of the names missing, you have to conclude that British mens sprinting is in a very fine place, and the women aren't doing too bad either!

            Disaster for Izzy Boffey there.

Poor decision from Boffey there, looked like she tried to force her way up the inside imo, that'll be hard to take.

That was off the back of an injury? God she is good. Hodgkinson will go sub 51 outdoors this year.

Great PBs from Yemi Mary John and Hannah Williams as well, and a fine run by Jessie Knight. But Keely is a superstar. The final could be interesting!

Really pleasantly surprised by the womens 400. Nielsen misses the final with a 53.0, despite 7 of the top 10 outdoors in 2021 not competing. We might not be Poland yet, but real depth is there.

Nice to see Somers back. I just checked and was shocked to see it was back in 2014 when he ran 20.37 for 200. We had such high hopes of him.

Yikes! I would have guessed about 5 years ago not 8.

                        Frightening, isn't it?

I think Adelle Tracey benefitted from the slow early pace.

Izzy Boffey, Oh, dear. Here we have another example of athletics shooting itself in the foot. With Izzy not in the final, who loses out? 1) The fans! We want to see the best vs the best! 2 ) The UK team?. What is required is a realisation that the sport needs the fans! Needs to keep the fans happy. Give them the best possible match ups In situations like Izzy's fall, there should be - no there MUST be - a "wild card" protocol, where deserving athletes - the ones likely to medal -should be progressed through to the final ( double up on a lane...job done! ).

While I agree it will be a less exciting final without her, those are the rules. You have to make it through the heats.

Remember when a peak Usain Bolt FSed in the semis of the WCs? He wasn't allowed through regardless.

Sam Reardon is one to watch, that 46.72 moves him up to 3rd on the UK U20 all-time list, with Faulds at #1 things are looking very bright on that side

5 women now have the qualifying mark for Belgrade after the semi’s

He didn't fall over. Indeed, surely he deliberately false started! But, again, sod the current rules, there needs to be more flexibility! Keep the fans happy! Give them the best possible matchups! When the fans go home disappointed....the sport suffers!

So big names all get a bye to the final? Who decides who is important enough not to bother with rounds?
