And her base speed is why she will be WC in a couple of weeks. Sadly we have no 400m hurdlers of remotely world class and the last one to be able to run fast was a great fave , Akabussi , who as you recall was a National champion on the flat.The reason why Dos Santos is a likely medallist is his flat speed ,mid 44s

Poor USA 5k runners had their trials in Eugene moved to morning run today , as temperature is going to be max 36 degrees today.. The 200m runs and both hurdles races will enjoy rather hot runs and add in those lovely helpful winds and I think we will see some great performances .

Gabby Thomas struggling in her 200 semi. Seems her pulling out of New York earlier this month wasn't precautionary as she's been struggling with a hamstring injury. She scraped into the final but don't fancy her chances in the final unfortunately.
