mSP is loaded. Even without Crouser and Walsh the worst PB in a field of 9 is 21.83.

Couple of other high class fields where Brits are involved…..

With 21.88 Dasher’s PB is only 5th best in the w200. 2nd on SB.

Okoye is 7th out of 9 on PB and 8th out of 9 on SB.

Already there's been 2 NRs at the P-T-S Meeting in Šamorín (SVK), both in the Women's Hammer.
Sara Fantini (ITA) improved her own mark by 48cn to 74.86 and in 2nd place, Katrine Koch Jacobsen (DEN) added a massive 3.13m to her 2021 NR with 74.22.

Gudaf Tsegay possibly going for the 5000m WR at 6.28pm UK time.

With a couple of rounds to go Ceh is over 69m again. Clear world no1 at the moment.

EDIT: Improves to 69.71 so that’s 3 throws over 68.70.

Good effort from Weishaidinger with 68.30.

Okoye currently 5th with a regulation 64.72.

They'll be dancing in the streets of Copenhagen tonight! Another Danish NR in Slovakia! Mette Gravesgaard improved the 12.99 she (not Jess Hunter!) ran in Manchester to 12.92 (+2.0) today. Sarah Lavin 2nd in a 12.94 PB.

i saw nothing much tonight that changed my mind about our top women. They will perform better in August than mid July.
DAS has lots to do in what will be a stacked field in Eugene, I see a top 6 for her but who knows the medallists, with the Jamaicans, Thomas, Mboma, if fit . DAS was stronger tonight in the last 50m.Tough event.
Clearly, Muir and Reekie are not race fit and i expect them to be far better by the CG or even Europeans. You cannot miss a couple of months training due to injury problems or illness and come back by the first week of June. HB will retire in the next year or so, i reckon. She achieved her ambition last year.

Mu has too much basic speed for all of them.Will KH have to run the 800m in the Trials. She has the wild card, so why bother??

I suspect she will run the 400m, and try and get a relay berth at the CWG from it. Also means the 800m selection will be more about the race than the politics, with the top 2 going, rather than KH taking one slot and leaving ambiguities in her wake!

A pair of 12:46's for N Kimeli & Krop in the 5000. Could Kenyan men be coming out of the slumber they've been in in that event over the last several years?

Another sub-8 for Lamecha Girma in the Steeple! Shaheen also ran 3 sub-8's in one season (2005) but not within 10 days!

Italians take over the 2 top European times in that event this year - Ahmed Abdelwahed, 8:10.29 PB & Osama Zoghlami, 8:11.00 PB. Spaniard Dani Arce also ran a PB, 8:14.31, to go 3rd on the 2022 European list.

Great to see Italy's Elena Bello continuing to go from strength to strength, beating a lot of big names in that 800 and going sub-2 for the first time, 1:58.97, after a 4:05.09 PB in the 1500 last month. Might she spring a medal surprise in Munich?

Anna Hall is an amazing multi talent and the clear favourite for the NCAA heptathlon title - but her final score there will surely be affected by the fact she is running the 400 hurdles final (for which she is the fastest qualifier) 15 minutes before the hep 800m.

with her 6400 plus, Hep this year she may in the fight for a medal; the WC hep is showing up rather poorly this year so far. Thiam, no word, and Vidts has been studying hard.

Lucky, thanks for the Youtube website ref you gave us the other day;full of good stuff, particularly happy to see the mens 400m semis in the NCAAs, where Allison and Ross ran low 44s and did not seem too stressed; will be hot final tomorrow early, maybe sub 44 secs
