That's the fastest 200m Strachan has run since she was 20 years old (22.50 in 2014), though she did manage a time of 22.56 in the Tokyo Olympics last year. Almost more important than the time though is how she is winning races against quality opposition, though with the caveat that we are still in April. But Strachan seems to be finally showing that she belongs in the elite level after being a star in the junior age groups.

Especially the women’s 10k. I believe we could see a world first. Not a WR but most to finish under a certain time, say 31.23. Quickest sixth ever is 31.23. We could get 8 under that in good conditions.

It surprises me that there's never been more than six women run faster than 31:23 in the same race. I suppose a lot of these races only invite 4 or 5 really top-class women.

                      • 21.87 for Christine Mboma on April, and also a sub-11 100m. I think she will go very quickly this year, and some difficult decisions will need to be made by World Athletics.

                            Wow. Usain who?

Forget junior, that’s 4th all time and two of those ahead of him are all time greats in Johnson and Bolt. We knew he was a talent but that’s astonishing.

                            • Outstanding run from Knighton, is there a better U20 WR on the books, Amos perhaps

Steve Lewis's 43.87 to win the Seoul Olympics in 1988 was amazing at the time but I think 19.49 is better relative to current standards. I would say there's little between Knighton and Amos in level of performance. Mondo's PV is pretty good and in an event where you will often peak a long way into your 20s or even later.
