Totally ridiculous 5000m times from Boston on what may well be the fastest track (indoors or out) for distance races in the world. But while it's easy to decry the performance due to shoes (which have clearly helped a huge amount) the other key thing from Marc Scott's perspective is that he was 2 tenths off Ahmed who won Olympic silver last summer, so he was absolutely mixing it with the best of the best.

That 24.40 time from Nell Desir puts her 2nd on the UK 15 all time list for indoor 200m, only bettered by Success Eduan's 24.38 from 2019.

To put into some perspective, Amy Hunt in the same age group "only" managed an indoor 200m PB of 25.22 back in 2016.

Excellent performances by all in the 5K; just a word of caution in mid February, as we all got rather excited by Marc Scott last year in Feb with his 13.min 05 secs. A long wait till July. Grant Fisher was always going to do big things and Ahmed is very top quality and has been for the last few years. I n any event congrats to Scott and also Atkin
let's hope this is maintained during the next 6 months.
Some BTC athletes,.in that race, concern me a little; did the top guy coach not say concerning the American HTC 1500m woman doping issue brouhaha that he had never heard of nandrolone!!

Regis' time was rounded down to 23.93 in the end, and that puts her 5th on the UK U17 indoor 200m all time list.

That amazing performance from Eduan moves her up to 4th on the UK U20 all time list at indoor 200m. Only current outdoor world 200m champion Dina Asher Smith (1st), Amy Spencer, one of the clutch of great "what if" junior female sprinters produced on these shores in the late 90's/early 2000s (2nd) and the injury-ravaged Shannon Hylton (3rd) have run quicker as U20's. Eduan doesn't turn 18 until September this year!

12.63 pb in the TJ for U17 Libby White. Moves her up to 2nd on the AT list for her age group in the UK.

Very impressive 8.22 for Mi aMcIntosh in the hurdles, equal 2nd on the British all time list under 20 with Cindy Sember and Lesley Ann Skeete.

Only Alicia Barrett is above her and all the other 3 were in their 3rd year as under 20s, while Mia has another 2 years to go (17 last month).

Lazarus Benjamin won the men's U20 pole vault with a new outright PB, indoors or out, of 5.10m, and he then had three decent attempts at clearing the World Junior qualifying height of 5.20m before bowing out.

He got some good height in his failures too, I think he can improve this year.

Samuel Reardon, who ran 46.97 for 400m outdoors last year, raced to a dominant victory in the U20's 400m final in 47.74, a time that takes the 18 year old to joint 16th on the UK U20 all time list indoors.
