Men's 4x4 we need all the other teams to collide with each other.
    Men's 5K - butchart, nothing
Women's 400 - be lovely if Jodie could get a PB. It should be another tight one for the medals. I really don't know which of the top 4 misses out. Perhaps Jamaica's extraordinary run on the female side will come to an end.

Muir can absolutely medal. But if Kipyegon and Hassan really go for it then Muir has a decision to make. Go for gold and risk not winning a medal at all. Muir’s made it clear in interviews she doesn’t want to come away empty handed. I think she recognises Kipyegon and Hassan might be just too good

Raevyn Rogers should be her model for how to run the final, not Jemma Reekie.

I think going for bronze makes sense, rather than trying to live with Kipyegon/Hassan and blowing up and having everyone come past you

Get ready for tears from Our Laura if she medals. She'll probably set me off as well! She did when she won her first Gold medal and that was "only" the European Indoors!

LM must surely have learned from her Rio experience. Even then the fastest 100m or even less will bronze.lots of athletes in the picture
I still am very keen to see how LM can do the 5K.

Plus Jake Heyward. I think he was the only man to do so though.

Markovc ran a PB in the 5000 and, of course, Bird's British record in the vault. Hodgkinson, Reekie and Bell in the 800. Snowden and Walcott-Nolan in the 1500

1.56 Laura has the wheels she didn’t have back then, but needs to not get dragged into someone else’s race plan.

I wonder if she could hurdle, as 3k is a great distance for her, and steeple races are more inclined to a steady pace. She’s probably around 8.20 for 3k - combine that with solid technique and she’d be right up there

Hassan and Kipywgon look like 1.55 though. As for the 3000sc, wait until Hassan has a gonat that. She may even want a slot in the dutch 4 × 400.

              And then the 400h…

Their 4th runner is about 53s, so she wouldn’t be far off! I think Hassan would struggle with the rhythm of the s/c, as she changes pace so much within a race

If Laura had doubled I think she would have medalled in the 800, but to the detriment of her 1500. From what I saw of her semi final and how little it took out of her, aligned to her improved speed, I think she has a 3.52/3 in her legs, and with Hassan's schedule, who knows!

For the many, many people who will be watching the Women's 20km RW (come on South America!), it starts at 8.30am not 7.30 as stated in the first post.

Yeah really felt for Jessie when she tumbled into that first hurdle because never got chance to see what she could do
