  • KJT down as DQ from that 200. Not that it matters particularly

    • 82.52, looks like Polish gold here!
Miller will finish round 3 in the top 8, so will get another set of throws to see if he can do anything.

It would now need to be a Britsh record to medal as the Norwegian has gone 80.31

    • 82.52 PB from Nowicki. Looking very gold like….

      • And the Norwegian over 80 too. NR required, Nick….

His 3rd of the champs. Warholm isn't their only athlete!

      • Gutted for KJT. Always a possibilty given her season but credit to her for doing what she could - both in terms of getting in anything close to fitness and then not just limping off there.

I was only joking when I said this team was cursed the other day but...

imagine Super Saturday with a half fit Mo and JEH not being there for the 800m - Greg would have had the stage to himself!!

        • Of the finalists Miller’s 6th on PBs and 8th on SBs, so I guess he’s pretty much bang on expectations at the moment.

          • 800 calls?
I'll go Rotich, Korir, Amos just for the hell of it.
It seems quite open which makes it doubly annoying we didn't get anyone through.....

              Not a bad call!

              Korir, Rotich and Dobek.

Haven’t seen head nodding like that since Paula!

Yes, Dobek was tipped throughout, wasn't he, I couldn't quite see it. The one I was wavering on for bronze was Clayton Murphy, who finished even after my eventual choice!

          • Can only marvel at KJT's talent. Second best ever hurdles and shot, with a nightmare build up.

            • Bit of a slow final. I wish our men had made it to this final....

Although the heats and semis were fast you do need a dedicated front runner for the final to be quick.

Real missed opportunity. We've had 6 go faster than that this year

Rowden, Giles and Dustin could have won that.... But you gotta be in the final to win it....

So could Murphy and Tuka plus some others who didn't qualify.

            • Not the most memorable 800m I have seen.Bol doing a Giles and it doesn't work unless you are called Rudisha
