Damian Warner starts the decathlon by equalling his world decathlon best of 10.12.

Such a shame she’s not had the prep, as this track would have suited her down to the ground, and probably seen her set PBs in all running events

I think there will be at least two athletes under the 400h world record, with the KJT rollercoaster as an aperitif. I'll go with these marks for Kat(if she finishes) 13.30, 1.87, 13.00, 23.40, 6.40, 41.00, 2.13.

I’d say there’s a very good chance. SMc won’t have looked to peak for the US Champs and DM was coming back from injury and illness. Bol is the big question mark - can she keep taking chunks off - she did look very easy in the rounds!

Anybody thinking the w400mh WR will go today? Just have a gut feeling. Saw a post somewhere about the weather being perfect for Warholm to break the record with it not being too hot. Not sure if conditions are conducive to breaking a WR today (approx 32 Celsius and dry).

While SMU is another matter, I do think that Jodie has a reasonable chance of coming 2nd or 3rd in a time that would give her a great shot at going through.

I think Jodie could well finish 2nd in that semi. She’s beaten Klaver, Jonathas was beaten by McPherson by a greater margin in their last race, McGergor’s standout PB was set in the warm climes of the Jamaican trials, compared to Jodie’s in Gateshead, having run a 22.60 200m (fastest of all those ladies) an hour before…

I don't know! It seems very open. De Grasse looked best in the semis, Bednarek has looked great all season, or can Lyles get back to his best after a subpar start to the competition, or the teenager Knighton another PB to surprise us?

I'd be happier with Jodie in SF3 but if she gets a good time, who knows.
What's your pick for the men's 200?
