Yeah so plagued with injuries and after waiting 5 years to try and get up there then his curse strikes again. I do wonder how much longer his career will go on

Clutch jumping from Mihambo. SB in the last round to seal the win.

A mere 20 cm separated Mihambo's winning 7 meter jump, to Jaz Sawyers 8th place.... Sawyers' 6.80 m jump is the furthest distance for 8th ever in Olympic history.

46.17 and a silver medal must be soul destroying. Warholm is an absolute warrior - He just refuses to lose. Wild place times right through the race.

45.94 is a time that is FASTER than several of our FLAT 400 m runners have done this year!!!

Dos Santos was 3rd in 46.72, UNDER Kevin Young's former world record. South American record and the 4th fastest in history

47.12 for fifth. It lived up to the hype. Pure adrenaline for all of them.

A WR, 2 Area Records and 2.5 National Records in that race.

There were guys running 47s who looked like they were in the 48s and 49s.

45.94 is perhaps the greatest world record there is out there right now. The only performance I can think of in the same measure was Johnathan Edwards' marginally over the limit 18.43 at the European Cup in 1995, or Bob Beamon obliterating the previous long jump record in the 1968 Olympics. Maybe Bolt's 19.19 in the 200 m?
