  • All 3 Brits PB’d. Can’t ask more than that.

    • Brilliant run by Keely!!

PBs for Jemma & Alex too - all 3 ladies have been a credit to the vest.

      • Whatever else happens, this makes it an OK Champs...

Bell - PB, Olympic finalist, can have no complaints.
Reekie - did all she could, 1:56.90 for a PB, ran out of puff but went for i

        Keeley. Absolute rockstar.

        • Athing Mu is a generational talent, with the race run to suit her to perfection, and Keely wasn't far off at all. I am stunned - They're both incredible talents who could dominate for years. Thrilled.

          • Astonishing run by Keely and a National Record

            • The start of a rivalry for the next decade, hopefully.

              • Those 2 just made an u20 age category look faintly ridiculous let alone u23.

                • Well that takes care of the spectre of " no medals in athletics " 😄

Mu was , as I feared , untouchable. But Hodgkinson beat the rest easily ... Teenagers rule !

                  • When Keely won the Euro indoors I though she was a mature racer who perhaps should go the Olympics and skip the U20s champs and maybe sneak under 1:58 sometime!

                    She's just broken 1:56!!

A little unlucky that in Mu she is a contemporary of a talent for the ages.

                    • Happy tears at last!
I really wasn’t sure Keely could do it because of her age.
unlucky for reekie but so proud of all three girls.
bell Id have been happy with getting to the semis - let no one ever say she’s not a championship performer again!

                      • Also puts Keeley in top 10 all time!

                          Top 25, surely?

The World Athletics page list is going from 1/1/2000 so showing 8th which is not correct

                      • I don't think I can add anything that hasn't been said already. Fantastic by all concerned.

Modern day version of Holmes v Mutola maybe?

Very different event but I just hope that Keely isn't Backley to Mu's Zelezny!

A great and deserved medal. Ran with confidence and not always in the perfect position but the speed.

                          • Btw, coppell didn’t make 5.87, unsurprisingly
only mondo, Braz and Nielsen over it - Renaud trying for 5.92, mondo already over it
