Heh.... Yes, injuries are part and parcel of athletics. But the reason I'm getting exercised about Dina is I've had to read a load of guff directed at her chances to medal by the fans of other contenders, on Twitter and YouTube, for most of this year. And they only intensified after the super-fast times posted by the American contingent during the US Trials. But now seeing what's currently being produced by these runners in the 200 m, by athletes who were going to "smoke" Dina easily in Tokyo (according to those fans), and knowing that Asher-Smith was in the form of her life coming into this year and was showing it in the races before the UK Trials, it's hugely frustrating that she's not able to show what she is truly capable of in these Olympics.
*Sigh* Oh well, time for her to focus on the Commonwealth (or European Champs) and the Worlds next year.
Dobbin did well.... now she should be moving herself off to the 400 m in future.
The age of Schippers, I fear, is now over. Those back injuries have hampered her so much since pretty much 2018.
