Nick Miller looks in decent shape. Where has he been all year - injured?

Nick Miller with a very good 2nd round throw of 76.93 m that takes him into 3rd place currently in group A, behind Quentin Bigot and Kokhan who have both gone beyond the 77.50 Q distance. That *should* be good enough to send Miller into the final. Though he's likely to take his 3rd and final attempt to see if he can get the auto Q.

How is Laura Muir "Europe's finest" when Hassan, whom he was just talking about, is Dutch? 🙄🙄

Easy qualification for Laura Muir, finishing 2nd behind former training partner Debues-Stafford with a 4:03.89 run

A very swift 1st round heat, 4:03.71, but nae problem for Laura.

Super run for Sara Kuivisto in 4th setting her 2nd Finnish NR in 2 days, 4:04.10.

Sara Kuivisto of Finland showing how an athlete can have a good Games without setting the world alight. NR in the 800 semi and now another in the 1500 heat.

Miller finishes 3rd in group A. Almost certain to be top 12 overall.

                    Hassan falls!

And then picks herself up and zooms past everybody to win that heat.....

There will be a few teams making hopeful appeals there

PB for Walcott-Nolan, 4th fastest loser with 1 heat to go

Hassan manages to recover with a 43.8 last 300. Walcott- Nolan a PB in 7th but has a chance of making it through.

Just realised I've been posting on the wrong thread...

Anyway : Muir very comfortable in her heat, no mistakes , no waste of energy.

But Hassan ! Falls - and just gets up and catches and eats up the whole field... has she got a outboard motor ? PB for Walcott-Nolan might not be enough ...we will see.

Miller should be fine with the best of the non-auto.
