Just a lot of good but not great sprinters perhaps?

9.83!!!! Holy ****... It'd be lovely to see the 100 go to Asia or Europe. Two continental records.

Su's first 40 was electric. Bromell is out.

Final is wide open. I think Baker may be the best each way medal bet.

Prescod got lucky in round 1 and did not make the best of his second chance. Very disappointing to see. Per the interview he gave pre-games, he clearly has issues he needs to resolve for his own benefit and ours.

I still think the arguments about not taking him at all are pretty daft. The guy's the 4th quickest Brit of all time. One of the few that, when he gets it right, can compete at this level. The only argument against taking him was if Gemili was up to the double.

Great by Hughes. Disappointing from Ujah. Nightmare from Bromell.

For me, Ujah is the opposite of Prescod - you kinda know what you'll get with Ujah. He'll run some time between 10.00 and 10.20. He's remarkably consistent in doing that. He just doesn't seem to have the extra gear he needs. Still, you need people like him for the relay at least.

Agreed. Ujah was always going to need to get lucky to qualify for the final but he’s solid and reliable.

Wow third heat. I bet none gave Su a chance. No Bromell. Poor CJ 10.11

Zharnel has run 9.91 - could he go 9.90 to be in for a chance?

I reckon 9.9low will medal. Seen huge PBs in SFs not backed up in finals too many times (hope I'm wrong though).

My American bronze medal picks are letting me down big time today! Clemons 4th, highly unlikely to make the final.

Hopefully, something along the lines of where he told the drugs testers he would be today.

Like, wonder who cares what Coleman's thinking!

WTF did that come from for Su? Can he repeat it in the final?

                Nice running from Zharnel.

                CJ was just overmatched.

Reece's luck finally ran out. Back to the drawing board.
