Same with Thomas Staines... Achieved the 800m qualification standard on May 31st after a typically hectic collegiate season, and hasn't run since then. Looks like the U-23's were never in his plans either.

While the W 4x100 team doen't look outstanding, I think a team of Awuah and 3 11.6_ runners should still be pretty competitive.

My only guess would be that she is targeting the Worlds over 100m and has been told/has decided that running the 200m here serves that purpose. I agree that it seems odd, as does Lansiquot's absence from the 100m (the W4x100m is distinctly underwhelming).
I think Lansiquot's absence is down to her not being at the U-23/U-20 trials. I think to be considered for the squad you needed to have been there and come in the top 2 to get on the team (as long as you have the qualifying standards.)
It's also likely that Imani is focusing solely on getting into the World Championship as an individual performer, so probably skipped these trials to get herself into the best possible shape for the British AAA's in August.

    Kristal Awuah
Not a bad team I must say... but then I must ask... Why is Awuah not doubling up in the 100m and 200m? She has the standards for both events, she won both sprints at the U-23/U-20 Championships last weekend (setting a big PB in the 200m into a stiff headwind no less)... So why isn't she being allowed to do both? Surely the scheduling at Gavle would allow for her to do that?

Other than that, I've got no issues with this squad selection, nor with the first wave of selections in the U-20's either.
