Occasional Hope Harry Kendall then immediately followed that up with a PB of his own, over 42 meters.

In the senior heptalthlon, Jade O'Dowda opens up with a 6.29m effort in the long jump, just 5cm down on her PB if the wind is a legal one.
And then in round 3, O'Dowda goes even further, recording a distance of 6.34m which if wind legal, will represent an equalling of her PB.
Jade is on 3598 points now, well on track to not only a PB score and what she needs to gain CWG qualification (5850), but if she matches her javelin PB (42.63m - 2021) and her 800m PB (2:13.94 - 2021), then she could even get the 6250 point European Championship standard too.Last edited by RunUnlimited; 29-05-22, 12:48.Comment

Kat's marks don't look great on paper, but she's been getting better with every event in this competition. She's had two major injuries in the last couple of years, and for most athletes I'd say two months until Eugene is not enough to be competitive, but she will be a different athlete come the World Champs capable of 6600+ points.Comment

Time now to reveal the newly reconstructed Jav technique, built from watching Spotakova and Yego on youtube, and channelling the primal scream of Goran Ivanisovic, but crucially also retaining the patented KJT listless-teenager vibe.
(Too bad I can't get past the ORF geoblock to see it!)Comment

KJT opens up with a decent season's best of 40.78m. Holly Mills also with a season's best with 36.94mComment

Jade O'Dowda launches the javelin to a big PB of 45.90m! She's starting to emerge as a real talent in the heptathlon.Comment

Sammy Ball, besides a dodgy 400, is going really well. Lots of pb's, let's hope there's one in the javelin. He really doesn't seem to have any weaknesses. Since Daley, have there been any other 17 year olds to compare?

It looks like GB have unearthed another heptathlon talent.Comment

Which could make the selectors' job quite tricky -
RunUnlimited - We are going to need one of your great summaries for GB women's multi events... as I cant keep track !

The Gotzis stream has gone down for me, anyone else having problems? There doesn’t appear to be a live tab, as there was earlier. Results page showing Holly ran a PBComment

BTW, in the U18s decathlon contest, Northern Ireland's Finn O'Neil is having a stormer... After the discus where he gained a 43.80m PB, he was over 600 points ahead of his nearest competitor, on 5089 points. The javelin has just finished and yet again O'Neil set a substantial lifetime best of 45.82m. He's well on course to sailing past the European U18 Championship standard for the decathlon (6900), and to setting a massive PB for points too. His current best points total is 6586 from earlier in the month.Comment
