Sarah Lagger with a big throw in the 2nd round (47.99 m) of group B's javelin for the heptathlon, has now moved her up to the bronze medal position, while Conte's 40.68 m has her just behind the Austrian in 4th.

Small field in the Men's 20km Walk. Lukas Niedzialek is a warm favourite.
Later in the Women's Walk at 5pm there's a chance of Gold for the proud nation of ANA. Elvira Khasanova should be battling for that with Turkey's Meryem Bekmez and Ayse Tekdal. All 3 are world class walkers.Comment

Does anyone know why Holly Mills changed her take-off leg in the long jump? Was it because of injury and if so, will she at some point revert to the take-off that got her 6.50?Comment

Ongoing issues with the take off leg led to a permanent decision. Jessica Ennis Hill did the same in her career. Holly will get back to where she was and further. She works with one of the best jumps coaches in the UK Frank Attoh. It will just take time.
Only 11 British women have jumped further than 6.20m this season, so she's not doing too badly all things considered.Last edited by LoveSprints1; 09-07-21, 15:41.

Joel Khan takes 3 attempts to clear 2.15 in the HJ but that is enough to qualify as exactly 12 clear that height.Comment

Been a bit of a downer of a day for the Brits, but that’s Tade Ojora through in 13,62. Will need to tighten up a wee bit for the final.

Khasanova in the W Race Walk must have served a 2 min penalty already. In the space of 1km she went from being 10s off Bekmez to 2 mins 13s.Comment
