I can confirm there's a human operating all the cameras, corners are being done by a guy standing above the finish line "office".

As our Man on the Spot, did you see what happened to MHS?

MHS pulled up gently after about 80m holding his quad.

Heyward impressive, Copeland less so (or was he conserving energy?)

Lord that men’s 400 Is worse than we could have imagined. I really don’t see the point in taking a men’s relay team or continuing to fund one next season
well done to Hannah Williams though! I don’t think any of us had her down to do that

We will and should take a relay as we have qualified for one of the 16 spots. We should only continue funding if we make the final. At the moment, the chances of that happening seem only slightly better than those of North Macedonia winning the Euros at the start of that tournament!

Yes, Hannah was the over performer of the day.

Oh Lordy, that is surely it for Tim Duckworth for this year.

Tim Duckworth not looking very good even before he almost pulled up in the 400.

Was getting some attention from the medics, though didn't look muscular (the reason for needing attention, that is).

She’s been injured - wasn’t even able to go on a treadmill until a fortnight ago

Does anyone know why Charlie Dobson hasn't raced since April. Massive up and coming talent

Injury I think. He was withdrawn from the squad at the World Relays 'as a precautionary measure'.

Why do we have random 3000 junior races? Is this for Tallinn or just a Mo-time filler?

The U23/U20s are a 2 day meet with a 5000 (plus 1500s and 3000S/C). It makes perfect sense to me to have the 3000 at a separate meet.

They were already on the schedule before the Mo special. Probably intended to be after the hoped for BBC coverage finished.

So is Mo going to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat at the proper trials, or is it going to be another damp squib?

Well. he absolutely gave it a good go, but damp squib #2 for Mo.

He's 38. I think he should retire with dignity as GB's greatest ever distance runner.

Mo's Tokyo dream is dead. Finishes over 20 seconds outside the qualifying standard.
