    We didn’t see her, but Naomi Ogbeta 14.22 PB in the Triple.

    David King 13.37 PB in the Hurdles! Good for him, he is one of the guys who is out every week, seems like.

        Excellent: was nt mentioned on the youtube tonight. Did I miss it or was it not shown.
        Good effort by Webb: the 800m at manchester is going to be scary; Giles, Burgin,Rowden ,Webb and others who could surprise us all.

          Actually Webb's third fastest ever time, behind a 1:44 in 2019 and his fast indoor time this year. Also an Olympic qualifier - Manchester is indeed going to be mad.

          13.37 is under the UK Olympic standard and King is currently ranked 38/40 on the Road to Tokyo list, so this run could see him on the plane.

        Ogbeta looking good. Just a little more and she's on the plane to Tokyo. And with junior athlete Temi Ojora doing so well this year, women's triple jumping is looking is better shape than it's done for a number of years.

        And I'm so happy for David King! He's been a grinding on the circuit for years now, always running around the 13.5 range but with thescope for more, and finally he's cracked it! Keep it going Dave!

          Hmm... Just watching back the women's 100m final at the Parvo Nurmi Games and though the time wasn't pulling up any trees, the way that Imani pulled through from so far back and managed to get the win was pretty impressive. Also, is it just me that thinks that, based on that run, perhaps Imani might be better off looking at the 200m for the future?

              66.30m for Lawrence Okoye ... very pleased for him and who would bet against one big effort to poduim at Tokyo? Naomi Ogbeta's 14.22 PB is chipping away at the OQ, what are the chances she goes if she does not make the mark in time? I have often over looked David King, but a PB tonight is welcome, and one further one in the heats in Tokyo would be a good achievement...

              to forum admin - I made a 'comment', this morning. on the MIA thread that needed 'approval' and it still has not appeared - don't know why it would need, perhaps it was too witty?

                  Exactly this. Bell is one of the like, half a dozen contenders in the field herself. There's no danger of her being "overlooked" by anybody these days, the way she's run so far this year. I highlighted the likes of Segrave, Walcott-Nolan and Boffey who could be possible spoilers to an already fraught qualifying situation if they manage to get into the top 2 in a tactical, scrappy, slow run race.

                  And of course, *never* count out Shelayna Oskan-Clarke either. In the last nine national championship (5 outdoors, 4 indoors) finals races that's she's been in, she has finished in the top 2. The last time she didn't was in 2014! So even though she has only run 2:04 and bits so far this season, Oskan-Clarke, if fit and healthy when they line up for the British Championships, will be a threat to any of the main contenders on the day.
