Scott Lincoln improves in Brno, Czech to 21.28 PB, Olympic qualifier and meet record in shot put. @IanHodge7

Been on the cards for Pipi for a while. 8 women under 52 this year so far, if the rounds don't hurt people too much and the weather is nice, someone is going to have a breakthrough in the UK Champs final. -
AW Forum favourite Rabah Yousif runs a very Rabah Yousif-ish time in Sollentuna, 46.52.Leave a comment:

Thank you RunUnlimited. Good work finding that Hep summary link. -
Doing some calculations ahead of the Arona 800m. If Holly can run around 2.11 which should see her score around 6230 and hold off Noor Vidts for 3rd Place - this should see her ranking score increase and should be enough to put her into a qualifying position for now. It won't be a comfortable position and very much a squeaky bum time situation for the next couple of weeks but not the doom & gloom position that some posters on here assume.
Let's hope she has another great 800m run as in Lana👍 1Leave a comment:

felix51 Considering that she set her 800 PB of 2:10.84 at Multistars in April where her current points total PB of 6180 was set, then I think you make a good case for her on improving yet again. If Mills doesn't end up going to Tokyo, then she'd certainly be a top contender at the European U23's (that is, if Maria Vicente doesn't get the 6420 she needs for the Olympic standard in this Arona meet in the end) -
Holly Mills is in there pitching, and a great prospect. We should not be down about the youngster just because the expected medal contenders KJT and NE are not fit.
By the way, I'm following the weird results page for the individual disciplines at Arona, but does anyone have a link for the overall scores anywhere?
Meanwhile in other news: everyone in our house is singing a new song -- "Oliver Dustbin, remember the name!". Its catchy.👍 1Leave a comment:

I think a 2:12.00 800m would give Holly Mills a PB of 6219Last edited by felix51; 13-06-21, 14:03. -
Yes, promising, but I am not so keen on the Kristal Awuah idea, the last time I saw her run, there seemed to be a very deliberate change in her action, but I am not a bio mechanics expert... One last leg from Asha Phiilp before she passes on the baton for good, me thinks, ... -
KJT has the standard from 2109; IF (and it's a big if) she can prove fitness I think UKA might still take her, as the reigning world champion. Would she be competitive, who can say without knowing exactly what stage she's at. -
Well now, that is some very pleasant news! That's definitely a 11.06 or so in still air. So, that's 3 of our first choice 4x100m relay squad in good form now.... And Kristal Awuah is starting to show signs of life with her 11.39 SB a couple of days ago too.Leave a comment:

She has the standard from indoors. She just has to finish in the top 2 at the trials.
