Well, that is two of my three most concerning 'MIA' competing in low key events in one night .... just need the third now, KJT, to finally appear .

I have been picking up bits and peices from pullbuoy and propulsion swimming twitter - despite being unashamedly Brit- centric in all sports, I know that both nations will put together great squads, but I'm stil hopeful that 'our' team will exceed the number of medals they achieved at Rio.

10.35? is that genuinely his first race of the outdoor season. No doubt in reasonably sunny weather but dont know the wind, though.

There was a race in Florida a couple of weeks ago, Prescod's base, where Bromell ran 9.77 and Bracy 9.85. Don't know why he didn't run there, but if he'd run 10.35 in that race, I would be concerned.

Not sure why, whether he has been injured or anything. As I mentioned above, 10.35 is not setting the world alight, but he has both a track record of improving quickly from a 10.3x showing, and also a 9.94 PB (4th on the UK all-time list) so has quite a bit of latitude, as far as I am concerned. Give no-one apart from Ujah and Hughes has looked particularly good this year, I can definitely see him finishing 3rd in the UK Champs.

Madrid meet on Saturday looks to have a few stars; Van Niekerk in the 400m; world ranked male and female top elite in the Triple Jumps which tend to favour such events at Madrid above s.l.
I get a fair bit of info from Watchathletics and am using it more and more.

to me he is a slightly weird athlete who thinks he has something to offer UKA; cannot think what..

Jamie Webb ahead of Elliott Giles in Chorzow, both running outdoor pbs of 1.44.14 and 1.44.20 respectively, behind Patrik Dobek.

Dobek is looking very solid right now. I think that 3 races in Tokyo will demand strength as well as speed. Which of the worlds guys has that in six weeks times is a real teaser: might know better after the Eugene meet.

68.88m Hammer PB for Jessica Mayho at Loughborough this evening. 5th on the UK all time list and getting closer to being GB's second ever 70m female hammer thrower (along with Tara Simpson-Sullivan, 3cm ahead of her).

Another good head to head at the trials. I wonder if one or both of them can get the standard? It's a bit of a jump.

Kirsty Law continues the season of her life at the age of 34 with 59.60 PB. Would be great to see her crack 60.
