Not sure if anybody noticed this but Andrew Robertson in Brno ran 10.03 (!). However, I couldn't see the wind reading and the results site is a train wreck that is not fit for purpose, so until we get confirmation of the wind, then we can't proclaim this as a massive new PB for him.Comment

Going back to Holly Mills, on the US forums someone has calculated that Zheng will move her up to 22nd,her first hep of the year was 6153 which combined with Arona gives her an overall average of 1185. Mills average goes up to 1178 equal with Gittens. The one slight disadvantage for Mills is that those competing at Ratingen have got something to aim at, the lesser known Germans and the likes of Sulek and the two Rodriguez’s may fancy their chances, but huge credit to Holly for putting in another PB
In the men’s decathlon rankings looks like Duckworth will be pushed down a few places due to the performances of Helecet and Sykora, now hanging on by a thread.Comment

Have just watched the race on YouTube (thanks to the ever-reliable links provided by LuckySpikes!) and Ama Pipi was very impressive in her run, especially the closing 80-90m where she powered through the field and won by a comfortable margin. Kinda reminded me of Donna Fraser in the Sydney Olympic 400m final as she stormed to a sub 50 second time and 4th place.Originally posted by carterhatch View Post
All of a sudden, the women's 400m is looking pretty competitive now. Pipi now joins Yeargin and Williams with attaining the Oly standard and with the likes of Nielsen, Anning, Liverpool running regularly sub 52 this season, and Zoe Clarke and Emily Diamond going sub 52 themselves in the last week too, there could be by the British Championships, 4 or 5 runners with the required standard. It would be pretty amazing if GB could send a full quota of 3 athletes in the 400m to Tokyo - a rather striking contrast to the men's side of things certainly.Comment

I cant imagine what it must be like to be so closely involved in, one can argue, the most anticipated race of the trials ... A place in the final and a PB will be great achievements. Can you sort out the men's 400 while you are at it

Its a great time to watch the women flourish, but sheesh, yeah will need to be PB shape to progress to make the final with so much talent showing
