F***! Tom Gale has been so damned unlucky with injuries!

Oh no, that's so disappointing! He has such natural talent.

Excellent return to action by Max Burgin in Ostrava. Hopefully now he can stay fit and sharp for more than a couple of months!

Yes, I might hold my breath for a bit on that one given past experience, but hopefully his new coaching set up is more suited to keeping him healthy as well as fast.

Has anyone any news on Charlie Dobson? Or Tom Somers, he seems to have gone missing.

Somers has competed quite a bit this year. He ran 20.87 in Belgium at the weekend: https://thepowerof10.info/athletes/p...hleteid=203880

Yeah, Somers was competing in the same Oordegem meeting where Alastair Chalmers, Seamus Derbyshire and Jessie Knight all had big PBs over the 400m hurdles.
As for Dobson, we've heard nothing since his no-show at the Birmingham Diamond League.

Any update on Andy Butchart? Haven’t seen much after that cracking 10k a couple of months ago

You asked on the right day, there's a brand new article out: PressReader.com - Digital Newspaper & Magazine Subscriptions

Minor injury in April, training in Fontromeu, planning on the triple this summer (possibly different events and of course he is assuming he will get selection for WCs and Euros), first comp of the summer likely to be the British champs.

No news on Lynsey though, afaics.

Good stuff! Always thought Andy was a bit underrated, would be great to see him pick up a medal at the commonwealth or Euros

The continued absence of Jodie Williams is a bit of a worry. Another athlete we haven’t seen much of since 2019 is Miguel Francis, Pof10 reveals he has run 20.66 and 20.71 this season, but hasn’t raced since 21st May

I wonder if Jodie's injured? She's certainly very quiet this year.

Miguel Francis is just very inconsistent and always has been. I have zero expectations for him.

Whenever she’s been in form she’s raced a fair amount, last year she was competing in 200s, 400s, Diamond League meetings etc.

I believe that this year Williams must have been injured some while back. She ran in the early spring 55secs and bits, but 4 weeks from the WC , not to mention the UK trials, she has not indicated any sort of form , so i am prepared tto see her not in the Team for Eugene.

could someone adept at the full range of modern social media perhaps make themsleves available to us older folk to update on the MIAs

Tim's a bit of a puzzle. He's only done LJs this year, and is entered in that at the champs, but isn't at his best even in that event.

Not a surprise, I understand she has some serious health issues. She was a great addition to the UK team at her best.

              • A great servant to the sport and will be missed! So glad she got that silver medal at the outdoor World’s.
