  • Interestingly, Miller Uibo has run very sparingly this summer. we will see how she fares on Friday.
    MU has gone for the double i read. She had intended originally not to go for the 400m but has changed her mind.Now that Naser and the two namibians have gone , she would have a clean run to the 400m Gold. i think

      ??? Mu didn't run in the 400m trials, and so she can't do the double.

        I think he means SMU. She won both at the Bahamian trials and has been named to both 200 and 400, so can decide later on what she wants to do

      Yes, that confused me for a couple of seconds but then I figured because he'd been talking about Miller Uibo ...

      • Well, this is a mess.

        UK Athletics has confirmed coach Toni Minichiello has been suspended pending an investigation into complaints from female athletes.

        • Don't know anything about the alleged charges, so not going to comment on that. But you have to say that it is pretty arrogant behaviour to ignore a suspension.

            well, fast times all the way, but we haven’t had a full result for the mens. 12.34 for Camacho-Quinn in the hurdles.

              • I'm loving the split screen for the mDT and mTJ at the Gyulai meet tonight. I somehow can't see the BBC following suit :-)

                • Another thing is that all the Americans are just that little bit behind what they were doing at Oregon.

                    Unsurprising. It was clearly a fast track with good conditions for sprinting in particular, plus possible jet lag and post-trials hangovers.

                • Great times and performances today in Hungary... and according to the meeting director, the track is "soft", so not supposedly conducive to fast times... Well, looks like the athletes were eager to prove him wrong!

                  • I mean, nobody is talking about Femke Bol and Shamier Little having a virtually *identical* race to their amazing battle in Stockholm just 48 hours ago, and yet again, both women went below 53 seconds for 400 m hurdles... Bol managing to edge out Little 52.81 to 52.85.

                    So now we have a new rivalry developing in this event. You've got McLaughlin/Muhammad, and Bol/Little!

                        The Jamaicans did not seem so affected by jetlag... just as far to come. Pleaded to see De Grasse coming back to form;
