Jamaica team out:
As expected sprint queen Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce heads a strong 62-member team that was named by the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) to represent the country at the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Elaine Thompson-Herah will...
All the women doubling across 100/200. Whether that's helpful for the GB relay team we shall see.
The men's 4x1 doesn't seem insanely strong?Comment

The strength of the Jamaican team is on the women's side. And the best male chance of them all has been left off. Apparently Omar McLeod cramped up shortly before the final at the trials, hence his last place.
I totally get why US does the top 3 cut-throat system but I really can't see how Jamaica can justify doing this. Sure as I said their women's sprints are strong but outside that they just don't have the depth. Those going in the hurdles are good but none of them can realistically put pressure on Grant Holloway.👍 1Comment

Promising. Any news on how Niamh Emerson is? I know Tokyo is out of th equation, but I hope she can start to build for next year.Comment

I'm beginning to worry for Dina - Americans coming out of the woodwork, Jamaicans flying, SMU running the 200 (although, I wonder if she'll go 400 now? The gold looks like hers if she wants it), and now two more interesting additions... Gonna be tough.👍 1Comment

Yes, both Mboma & Masilingi have been taken off WA's list of qualified athletes for the 400m in Tokyo and are now they're both only on the list for the 200. I do think that can only mean one thing, given that they both much better at the 400 and would surely race the longer distance given the option.Comment
