While we’ve all, rightly, been applauding Scott Lincoln’s progress it’s sobering that his new PB was half a metre shy of 5th place in the US trials.
10 Americans went over 20m in that one competition (11th was 19.96 and both he and 12th are also 20m men). It’s insane - has that ever been done before?

Encouraging time I think for Wayde van Niekerk in Madrid. He got caught in the last 50m but ran 44.56 to Zambrano's 44.51.
The 400 this year hasn't shown any sign that it's going to be won in Tokyo in a crazy fast time. WvN has time to get fitter and sharper.
