    • Some very good news! I've just noticed that there's free live streaming of the NCAA D1 East Preliminary Round (aka East Regionals), starting tomorrow and going through to Saturday. For the past few years FloTrack have had this meeting.

I'm getting the details together now to add it to the Live Streaming Links thread.

      • Miltiadis Tentaglou of Greece just jumped 8.60 meters (0.7w).
        It's a massive jump - about 28ft 2-3/4 in.
16th longest jumper of all-time. 3rd longest European.

Bloody good news, Lucky. i had my text sites up for both men and women East and West start lists. First results will be from the East Regional meet in the middle of the night for me, and with my sleeping habits i will get some interesting performances from the heats, hopefully..

              • Quite a jump from Tentoglu in Greece - 8.60. The men’s long jump is really coming together, Gayle, Echeverria and now Tentoglu operating in the upper echelons.

Holly Mills is down to compete at the senior England Multi Events Champs in Bedford this weekend

Just watched the 8.60m jump from Tentoglu.... And I'm not sure if the distance measured was accurate somehow. Usually you can tell a jump is a huge one just be looking at it, even before the measurement is made, and that leap from Tentoglu didn't seem like an 8.60m. The crowd that was there hardly reacted to it when he landed, and Tentolu himself got of the pit with not a hint of excitement. You'd think he'd be the *first* one to know if he'd gone into new territory the moment he left the board. But nope, he was out of the sand, dusting himself off like it was just a regular jump.
And on top of that, when the measurement was announced, Tentoglu looked genuinely bewildered, if not perplexed at what was being said. To my eyes, he looked like he didn't think the distance was correct.

                      • Tonights finals of the East and West Regional NCAAs have some tasty stuff, worth staying around for; shame is ,the top guys are kept apart in the sprints 100,200 and 400m.
If there was some legal winds around that would be great but i rather doubt it based on experience .
