  • Mark Dry - suspended

He's challenging it, and it looks like it isn't an adverse finding. Not that that makes much difference, you break the rules, you face the consequences.

    Disappointing.

Gutted about this, one of the nice guys in athletics. Hope it doesn't turn out to be true!

Echoing Jim's comment, this is a major blow. Mark is an absolute Gentleman & his presence alone can lift a team.

Doesn't look to be any kind of finding at all, rather a breach of process, according to the article on this site.

I wouldn't put much stock into anything the BBC print. They really don't care about Athletics as much as they'd like people to think & more than likely let their apprentices write the Athletics articles.

It sounds like a whereabouts issue, a la MO and his doorbell. So probably a ban (and he should know better) but not a major issue.

Not sure about that. The charge is tampering or attempted tampering. It may be centred on a whereabouts issue, but based on the AW article it sounds like he’s being accused of a deliberate action which wasn’t the case with Mo.That feels like quite a serious charge to me.

Due process will take its course. Like others I hope he’s done nothing wrong. But good guy or not, he’ll have to suck up his punishment if he hasn’t played by the rules.
